As you've probably read above, I'm Les, founder of Electrician4hire. I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit more about myself and my inspirations for setting up the company.
For as long as I can remember I've had an avid interest in electrics. I was changing plugs from my early teens, much to my parents dismay. Luckily there were no disasters. I don't recommend DIY when it comes to electrics and trust me, I see DIY disasters daily.
Despite always wanting to be an electrician, I worked in various other jobs, from bar work to a taxi driver, none of which fulfilled my passions. Then about 8 years ago I had to hire an Electrician to replace my fuse board, there were so many to choose from and I had no idea how best to choose, so I opened up the Yellow Pages, called around and decided to go with the cheapest quote. He did a terrible job and with the hidden charges thrown in, ended up more expensive than most of the other quotes I'd received. It was then I realised I could do a much better job. I went to college and studied hard for 3 years. Once I'd qualified I setup Electrician4hire.
I've always believed that if you're going to do something that's been done before, then you need to do it better. Electrician4hire was no exception. There are hundreds of electricians in Essex alone but I knew I could offer a better service. My aim was to provide a professional, personal service at an affordable price and that's exactly what I did.
Over the past 4 years I've built up a loyal customer base and much of my work comes from recommendation of happy customers. I hope to add you to that group. My experience has been broad, from working one to one with customers to working in a team with ITV for 3 seasons on the 60 minute makeover.
I enjoy being a small company, with no immediate plans to change. Being a smaller company allows me to enjoy a close relationship with my customers and I can ensure the quality of the work is of the higest standards possible.
